Course Outline

Technological advances over the last decade have resulted in new agitation devices for disinfecting the root canal system, which plays an important role in the success of endodontic treatment. This course will present an overview of the disinfection methods currently available, their debridement efficacy, and the possible complications of their use. The afternoon hands-on session will give participants an opportunity to try different instrumentation, irrigation, and obturation techniques.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will know more about:
· Disinfection challenges in endodontics
· The safety of endodontic devices and procedures
· New alternatives for intracanal antisepsis
· The pros and cons of different instrumentation, irrigation, and obturation techniques
